Hey, I'm Carlos Collazo. Most people call me Los.

I'm a national writer for Baseball America, where I've led our MLB Draft coverage and written about prospects since 2017. I'm fortunate enough to say that working for BA has been my lone full-time job since getting into the industry.

Prior to Baseball America I was an intern for MLB.com (back when they had perhaps the best sports journalism internship you could ask for) for multiple summers where I helped cover the Braves (2015) and Padres (2016). My introduction to Baseball America came as an intern during the summer of 2014, when I was thrown into the scouting and prospects world and fell in love with it.

I went to school at the University of North Carolina and graduated in 2016. While in Chapel Hill I spent four years as a sports writer for The Daily Tar Heel. I covered baseball as much as I could, worked as an assistant sports editor as a junior, and then covered UNC's (near) 2016 national championship basketball team as a senior. Working for the DTH was where I truly cut my teeth as a reporter and writer and learned how to take sports journalism seriously.

More important than any course work or writing, attending UNC allowed me to meet my wife, Madi. We currently live in Northern Virginia together with our cat, Millie, as Madi finishes her residency training as an OB/GYN. Yes, she has both the smarts and the looks of the relationship—I just have the fun job.

This site hosts my blog and home on the internet for all things that aren't baseball-specific writing. If you're looking for other places to find me or my work, I also...

If you want to get in touch with me, feel free to shoot me an email. You can see what I'm currently doing at my now page.

Thanks for stopping by.
