A Year Of Blogging
One year ago, I started blogging again with Bear.
In that time, this blog has grown significantly—both forwards and backwards—as I've written plenty of new things (63 blog posts and hundreds of short-form notes) and also backlogged a lot of my older writing and photos here.
My intention was for this blog to become my new home on the internet, and I think I've been successful on that front.
At the very least, this blog has fueled a lot of creativity energy for me.
I'm getting more writing reps outside of my main work as a prospect writer. I'm learning more about html, css and general design as I tinker with the site and get inspired by what others are doing. I've also just enjoyed hanging out in the Bear Blog community, meeting other people and reading lots of interesting blogs that I otherwise never would have been exposed to.
One of the best things I decided to do here was use the blog to house both short-form notes and photos. That has created a much lower barrier to entry for posting, and I think it's helped me keep up momentum and stay active in the space. If I was just using it for blog posts—whatever that means—it would have been a lot easier to get stagnant.
One year down. Here's to many more.
